Rectifying body shell problems & giving a fresh coat of paint to this now rare Granada Sport.

As It Arrived
The shell had been chemically dipped prior to arriving with us.
Electrophoretic Coating
After a lot of metal work; the shell went away for re-dipping & its E-coating which turned it a nice green colour.
Offside Rear Door
A replacement door skin is prepared for attaching to the door frame.

The door frame is prepared for the new skin to be attached.
Offside Doors
The offside front door was also reskinned & both doors are being trial fitted to the shell.
Front End Trial Fitment
All the panels to be used are trial fitted to ensure good alignment & panel gaps are maintained.
Epoxy Primer Coat
The shell is given a coat of epoxy primer over the E-coat prior to final paint prep.
Floor Pan General View

Underbody Protective Coating
The coating is applied; it does look very dark but is colour tinted with base coat for the car so is actually green.
Front Subframe Components
Some of the cars mechanical components are blast cleaned & powder coated ready for rebuild & fitment.
Subframe Fixings
All the subframe fixings are back from their session at the zinc platers.
Final Top Coat
The body shell in the booth after its top coat of Forest Green.
The Engine Arrives...
The engine arrives from storage with the Owner.
Engine Block
Once the main bearing shells & core plugs are removed; the block will go for hot washing & then possibly acid cleaning.
Reassembly Starts...
With the shell back on its wheels again it is wheeled into Assembly to start the build.
